Sarah & Ryan met last summer & fell in deep love, so it was no surprise when Ryan told me that he was going to buy a ring & get down on one knee. Ryan & I have been solid friends for forever so I was SOOO stoked when he asked me to be part of one of the bigger moments of his life. We went location scouting & we found this lovely open field at White Mud Park & planned it out perfectly so Sarah would have no idea it was coming. We started the session off with simple portraits & them being freaking adorable (as always). I took some single portraits of Ryan AND THEN, it was time for me to be super stealthy & just take photos of Sarah. We did some simple ones of her looking at the camera & then I asked her to turn around, face the sun, close her eyes & to sway in the sun. (I told her I was trying this new thing & just made it all sound super legit mwhaha). While I was taking photos of Sarah, Ryan was getting the ring & rose out of my bag- & as he walked towards her, I walked away & IT WAS BEAUTIFUL. Ryan told Sarah all of the ways that he loved her & told her that he would choose her, everyday from now until forever. Then he got down on one knee, (I was already crying at this point so I could barley see what was happening through my lens) & she said HECK YES!

I left the session on a high- I couldn't stop shaking & smiling. The love between these two is something that I simply admire. They couldn't stop crying, smiling & hugging & I am SOOO thankful that they trusted me enough to capture their story <3
